Privacy Policy

Golo is a social video and community platform. We collect account information you provide, profile and community settings, content and interactions, security and device/session information, and service diagnostics needed to operate and protect the service.

Community information

Eligible personal accounts choose one of Golo's five communities. A user may hide that affiliation publicly; hiding it does not change the securely stored membership used for legitimate community counts. Organization accounts remain community-neutral.

How data is used

We use data to authenticate accounts, deliver posts and messages, calculate legitimate social and community counts, enforce safety rules, prevent abuse, process user requests, and operate the service. Provider credentials and authentication secrets are not exposed to other users.

Service providers

Golo may use infrastructure providers for hosting/database services, transactional email, and durable media storage. Provider-dependent features that are not configured are disabled rather than simulated.

Your controls

Within Golo you can edit your profile, control public community visibility, request an export of your account data, block or report users, and request account deletion. Account deletion immediately revokes access and is followed by scheduled privacy cleanup after the safety period while records that must be retained for security, moderation, fraud prevention, or legal obligations may be preserved in de-identified form where appropriate.

Security and retention

Golo uses authentication, authorization, rate limits, protected credential storage, audit controls, and server-side validation. Data is retained only as needed for service operation, safety, dispute resolution, legal obligations, and the deletion process described above.

Children

Golo is not intended for children below the minimum age permitted for the service in their jurisdiction. Store age-rating and regional requirements must be followed before launch.
